Turkey’s economic growth, including in its construction sector, has increased its demand for birch plywood and the country is now one of the top five destinations for Latvian plywood exports.
"Turkey has great potential for future growth and extensive trade prospects in neighbouring regions," said Latvijas Finieris board member Martins Lacis.
Last year the company increased its plywood production by 7% over 2011 figures and its turnover increased by 6%.
