Jack Weekes, who is studying NVQ Level 2 in Site Carpentry, was awarded first place in the south-west regional under-20 category, and went on to be awarded third place in the national under-20 category.
Sebastian Roberts, who was studying NVQ level 3 in Site Carpentry and is now a practical skills teacher, was awarded first place in the south-west regional over-20 category.
The Carpenters’ Craft Competition is the only national competition open to students of carpentry, joinery and shopfitting.
