The introduction of sanding technology from Abacon Ltd has freed up a bottleneck and created spare capacity at a Manchester-based manufacturer of bespoke wooden draw inserts and cutlery dividing systems.
A Löwer RotoMaster sander was installed at G&G Products to finish a variety of inserts in beech, maple, chestnut and other species.
The machine’s working width was reduced to 900mm from the standard 1350mm, while its SlipCon sanding heads were configured to achieve finishing of at least 20mm.
