An Abacon MultiSander has been designed specially for Prentice Furniture to improve the level of edge finishing on kitchen doors.
The Tamworth-based company said the finish it required on door edges could not be produced by standard machinery, while hand-sanding was inconsistent and laborious.
The MultiSander drives spindles with SlipCon hubs with slotted profiles supporting abrasive strips. The strips are mounted on combs which slide in and out of the hubs and can be cut to shape or size.
