The company, based at a former second world war airfield site near York, said two Authors sourced from Machine Sales Ltd had each doubled throughput of desktops on RK’s upmarket and larger model ranges.

RK said drilling and routing speed,s coupled with a large worktable size, allowed cutting patterns to be completed in a single pass, compared with two passes on older factory machines.

Production manager Alan Betteridge said the Authors had eliminated the logistical headache of turning each desktop at the halfway point of the operation.
