Exhibition stand contractor Creator UK has installed a new CNC router from AXYZ Automation (UK) which, it says, has speeded up its own production and capability and led to sub-contract work.
The company says the 6010 series router has removed any constraints it had with its previous construction methods, enabling it to produce work that would not have been possible before – and at an extremely competitive price.
The router, which replaces hand-held routers and jigs, has a process area of 3200x2050mm and is being used to produce work for the company’s client base, which includes BT Worldwide, Sony, Microsoft and SmithKline Beecham.
Creator’s managing director, Giles Elliot, said: ‘Due to the nature of our business, no two jobs are ever the same, nothing is standard.’
The machine can take CAD drawings from any PC-based graphics software and transfer them to the smart controller.
The CNC router can also process prototypes in a range of sheet materials, including MDF and plywood, and Mr Elliot says the machine has already opened doors.
‘It is so fast and accurate that we have picked up additional business solely on this basis.
‘Other companies, on hearing of the AXYZ machines capabilities have sub-contracted work to us’, he said.
Prices for AXYZ CNC routers start at £13,500.
