Belgian glulam manufacturer Woodlam was exhibiting as part of the Belgian Pavilion and sales manager Marc Leire was delighted with the company’s first Interbuild outing.
“It’s been a very good show for us and we’ve met quite a few contractors for commercial and industrial projects.
“Woodlam is the main glulam manufacturer in Belgium and has dealings with most European countries, but so far not with the UK. We’re here to raise our profile in the UK because we see real potential here, particularly with the Olympics coming up,” he said.
“Most of the UK’s glulam suppliers are from Germany, Austria and Scandinavia, which are all further away, geographically, so we are confident we could be competitive.”
Woodlam’s current glulam output is 25,000m³ per year.
