Six years ago Julius Blum GmbH was one of Austria’s first industrial enterprises to have its plants entered in the Environmental Management Register of the EU.

The company’s enviromental management system has recently passed the second obligatory audit according to EMAS – The Environmental Management and Audit Scheme of the EU.

All four plants in Hoechst and Bregenz received good marks and the independent testing commission praised the comprehensiveness of the environmental management system, and the high investments made in measures to protect the environment and measures to reduce noise.
