The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) has thrown its support behind the W6 Working with Wood exhibition – formerly Woodmex – by agreeing to promote the event to its members.
Richard Lambert, BWF director, said: “Woodmex always succeeded in attracting joinery manufacturers looking for new machinery. There’s all the more reason for them to visit W6 now it covers all aspects of their suppliers.”
Show organiser the Woodworking Machinery Suppliers Association (WMSA) says it is seeking to link up with a variety of trade associations now the event has been expanded to include a wider variety of products and services, such as timber and wood products.
John Smith-Bodden, WMSA chief executive, said: “With the opportunity to meet suppliers of materials, machinery, components and services we know that a visit to W6 will be of tremendous value to all involved in the joinery sector.”
He said W6, which takes place at Birmingham NEC on October 8-11, is now 75% booked with a variety of exhibitors from across the supply chain.
The ASFI Expo furniture components exhibition, now a part of W6, has been branded Furnicom. Linda Barker, of BBC‘s Changing Rooms, will judge a new innovation award at the event.
