Yasmin Chopin has been appointed as director of the British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association to succeed Dr Chris Coggins who retires in May.

Ms Chopin has experience in trade association management and consultancy and brings to the position a new focus on business development, member services and growth in both numbers and scope of the association.

BWPDA president Howard Marsh said Ms Yasmin would move the association forward in a positive way.

“The restructuring of BWPDA being planned for implementation at the AGM in May will see Yasmin also take charge of the new Property Care Association. PCA will have a very high profile and Yasmin will assist all our members with the creation of an assocation that will move our industry forward into other fields, yet remain the forerunner in high standards and increasing recognition by major specifiers.”
