Coating specialist Teknos teamed up with Hi-Tec Spray to present the benefits of factory finishing to small joinery manufacturers.
Teknos showed its range of finishes, a new range designed for cladding, while Hi-Tec Spray had set up a small spray booth to demonstrate factory finishing using Teknos coatings.
“People are interested in factory finishing,” said a Teknos spokesperson. ”The aim is to show the small joinery manufacturers that this is not just for the big boys in the industry and can be achieved for minimum capital expenditure.”
He thinks the partnership between Teknos and Hi-Tec Spray gives joinery manufacturers confidence as Teknos coatings had been tested with Hi-Tec’s spray technology.
As well as promoting its Total Factory Applied Protection Systems, Teknos displayed cladding samples finished with its new Parkland range of colours. The coatings, based on Teknos’ Aquatop 2600 acrylic-based paint, is available in 16 colours and is designed to capitalise on a trend away from letting cladding weather naturally to grey.
Teknos said the finishes have an expected performance life of six years, depending on the application and elevation.
