Build Center says its Trafford Park branch in Manchester has gained more than 20% extra storage space since taking delivery of a Combilift 4-way forklift.
The Combilift, which replaced a sideloader at the timber specialist branch, is being used to handle crates of plywood, MDF mouldings, packs of timber up to 6m in length, boards and doors.
The vehicle’s low platform allows warehouse staff to access low level storage areas, which could not be reached by the sideloader, in the existing Econo Store racking system.
Build Center chose a five tonne diesel powered model from Combilift Ltd.
Combilift forklifts, manufactured in Ireland, have load capacities from 2.5 tonnes to 12 tonnes.
