A Hoffman dovetail keyway router is being used in tandem with CNC machines at Input Joinery near Andover for the production of stair parts.

The machine is used mainly for making stair rails and handrails, which involve complex joints and asymmetrical profiles.

Input Joinery’s Hoffman is the basic MU2 model which routs out the keyways to the required depth. Serrated dovetail keys then provide the method of jointing.
