Gee Joinery has supplied sets of heavy weight timber sliding doors to Hampshire County Cricket Club.
The doors are installed in the Club’s nursery pavilion and in its neighbouring golf club.
Each leaf weighs in at 250kg and is 3m high. Because of the weight and size and the slim profiles used, Gee had to select very high specification gearing, using the 933 lift-slide mechanism from Gretsch Unitas (GU).
The collaboration with the latter on the project has led to Derby-based Gee specifying GU lift-slide gearing for two more projects, with another five under discussion.
