A fifth Wadkin high-speed planer/moulder has been added to Harlow Brothers Ltd’s Long Whatton factory.
Harlow Brothers, which supplies timber buildings, wood products and joinery, bought the Wadkin HT Delta Plus 6-head machine with heavy-duty feed from Nottingham-based AL Dalton Ltd.
The new machine, which works alongside existing XJ and XE models, has been installed with a timber handling system.
Six moulders at Long Whatton now produce more than 200m3 of timber per day.
Daltons has worked with Harlow Brothers for about 50 years and in recent times has maintained and occasionly rebuilt the company’s Wadkin machines.
