Hoffman Machine Company UK has made a “major” investment in moving to new premises as a result of the “ongoing success” of its jointing system for the joinery and furniture sectors.

The company said its 1,700ft2 building in Morecambe is about double the size of the former fragmented site nearby and brings all parts of its business – distribution, workshop and office – under one roof. A mezzanine level has been added to the building to create extra space.

Hoffman said the move will enable it to improve its service to customers as demand grows.

The company claims its system of jointing with serrated dovetail keys is increasingly being used in workshops and factories across the country.

The system can create face frames for in frame kitchens designs, and is also used in door and window manufacture. A further application is the jointing of heavy-duty structural members for both interior and exterior applications.
