A kitchen carcass manufacturer has started up in business with a Contract Hire package of equipment from Homag UK.
Kitchen Generator, in Ashford, Kent, has installed a Brandt single-sided edgebander, a Brandt shaped edgebander and a Weeke Venture CNC machining centre. A sliding table saw was supplied on hire purchase with an option to buy.
The company, run by Darren Mace and his wife Tara, supplies caracasses to retailers and small- to medium-sized manufacturers in small batch and volume orders.
Mr Mace said the company went into production in June and is already looking to expand by providing fully fitted carcasses and has capacity available for larger unit production such as wardrobes.
