A six-strong management team has bought Speedsaws Ltd, which manufactures handsaws for DIY and professional markets and bandsaw blades for the wood processing industry, from Tresham Holdings Ltd.
The new management team, led by Kevin Sneller, intends to increase export sales and a £250,000 contract for business in Scandinavia has already been secured.
Neil Panter is retiring as chairman and director of Speedsaws which employs 66 people at its manufacturing facility at Bradmarsh Business Park, Rotherham.
