Ecobuild provided the first exhibition outing for the new joint Kingspan Potton wood-based building brand.

According to head of marketing Ieuan Compton, the tie-up of the two names would help communicate the wider expertise of the Kingspan group businesses to a broader market.

“It brings together Potton’s strength in timber engineering and self-build and Kingspan’s timber building solutions; TEK structural insulated panels (SIPs) and Logic timber frame panels and joists,” he said.

Centre stage on the stand was taken by the architects it is working with. One, Richard Pain, highlighted his geometric Kingspan Potton HOUSE. This takes prefabrication, using Kingspan TEK SIPs, as its starting point to simplify production and erection.

“The symmetrical roof sections, elevations following the same diagonal and the dimensions all suit the panels, minimising cutting and maximising their performance.”
