Environmental support services company fountains plc has appointed Alistair Sandels as director of UK forestry management subsidiary Fountain Forestry Ltd.
Mr Sandels, who is a member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, will assume overall responsibility for UK forestry services.
“The board has made a substantial commitment to developing services for owners of forestry properties,” said Mr Sandels. “They recognise forestry as a stable market and have invested in systems to improve our management capability – an important further benefit from the process of achieving forestry certification.”
fountains plc manages around 550,000 acres in Great Britain and the US.
