Orders worth more than £250,000 were netted by Ney Ltd during the first open day held at its recently-opened Middlemarch Business Park site, Coventry.
Vistors from more than 100 companies in the wood and board processing industry attended the event. Sanding and finishing technology generated considerable interest, with machines on show from Weber, Sicar, Egurko Ortza and flexible rotary sanding equipment from Quickwood.
Xavier Darmendrail from Egurko Ortza reported sales of Dart machining centres plus several edgbanders, while Frank Hebrock of EBM was on hand to explain the company’s new edegbanding technology.
Ney also reported it had clocked up its best trading figures during March.
