The state-owned forestry company CVG and the oil company PDVSA have formed a joint operation to promote a family house building programme using timber in the Mongas region.
As well as the OSB plant, there will be six sawmills and 60 woodshops.
The OSB plant will have an annual capacity of 200,000m3 in the first stage with the capability to double without interrupting production.
Dieffenbacher said it would supply a complete factory with energy systems, glue systems and other auxiliaries. The continuous CPS press will be 25m, extendable to 45m, and the trimmed board size 1250x2500mm.
