Osmose has refocused its marketing identity, with its various product ranges now promoted under the banner “Creating new opportunities for timber”.

The slogan, unveiled at the Timber Zone, was also the theme of a presentation given by Osmose UK general manager Gordon Ewbank in the TRADA seminar theatre.

“The phrase emphasises how all our products in their individual way complement and enhance the natural performance of timber,” said Osmose Europe marketing director Andy Hodge.

The Osmose stable now includes the Royale hot oil drying/treatment process, which the company said attracted a lot of interest at the show. Besides the Protim Clearchoice preservative system, Naturewood treatment and FirePRO fire retardant, Osmose was also highlighting its Indurite timber densification process – and the latter was a runner-up in the interior products category of the Interbuild awards.

Jim Tennant, business development manager of PTG Treatments, was also on the Osmose stand highlighting the FirePRO treatment service his company is developing at Tilbury.

Osmose additionally used the Timber Zone as the show launch for its new Guide to Timber Technologies brochure.
