Sadolin has joined forces with DuPont to launch a range of interior varnishes which are said to combine the durability of a solvent-borne product with the convenience of a water-borne product.
Designed for the trade sector, the new generation of varnishes combines polyurethane and Teflon to provide a hard-wearing finish for timber floors and interior wood.
The company says that in a Taber abrasion test conducted by DuPont, after 1,000 cycles Sadolin Polyurethane Floor Varnish out-performed other products by 50%.
As well as offering the durability of a solvent-borne product, the water-borne varnish has good flow and “brushability”, a non-yellowing formulation and low odour. In addition, it is touch dry within an hour and can be recoated within two to four hours.
The floor varnish is available in four colours, in either satin or gloss, while the interior varnish comes in six colours in either clear, satin or matt.
The products are supported by a 12-page brochure and in-store information, and an updated website which provides greater support.
