The UK SIPs Association switched its annual conference to Timber Expo, with seven members also choosing to take exhibition stands.
Association chairman Andrew Orriss said combining conference seminars with the exhibition had resulted in greatly increased numbers compared with past conferences. A house made from SIPs served as the seminar theatre.
Mr Orriss said the show was a great networking event but only time would tell if contacts made were translated into business.
He added that business in 2011 had so far been better than 2010.
