SMV UK Ltd and Irion Sideloaders Ltd have been rebranded as Cooper Specialised Handling (SH) Ltd, in order to provide them with stronger brand identity and opportunities for growth.
The new name is effective immediately and includes the Baumann sideloader and SMV Lift truck brands, for which Cooper SH has sole distribution rights in the UK. This means it is able to offer forklifts up to 60 tonnes, sideloader solutions up to a 45-tonne capacity and unladen and laden container handlers.
Cooper SH has also announced that it will distribute DanTruck A/S forklifts, offering customers equipment from six to nine tonnes.
Managing director David Cooper said that the name change had been brought about by SMV products being brought under the name of its parent company Konecranes and Irion products changing identity to Baumann.
“The new trading name will help us to be more easily recognised as a specialist provider across our niche markets,” said Mr Cooper. “It will also more easily accommodate our plans to expand into other related areas.”
Cooper SH liveried trucks are also due to be introduced to the UK in the coming months, furthering Mr Cooper’s aims to create a strong brand identity.
