A timber window and door manufacturer has expanded into staircase production after investing in Gang-Nail Systems’ StairCon software.

AA Joinery and Woodworking Ltd purchased the design and production software to help maximise profits by offering a full range of timber building products.

“Having manufactured timber windows and doors for some 20 years, it made sense to expand our capabilities to the design and manufacture of wooden staircases too,” said AA Joinery production director Andy Winwood.

“StairCon allows us to create stair designs outside of our working hours due to the ability to save and transfer the designs across to the main CNC linked machine at a later date.”

Another joinery manufacturer, Raymond Good (Joiners) Ltd, has also taken on StairCon in order to speed up its staircase production.

The company, which has made staircases for more than 40 years, said StairCon’s integration had enabled it to manufacture more.

As well as design, StairCon produces material schedules, 3D visualisation and manufacturing drawings for manual production along with direct links to industry used CNC machinery.
