The 10th anniversary TTJ Awards were celebrated in grand style this month with more than 320 guests from across the timber industry and related sectors gathering for the presentations at London’s Savoy Hotel.
The hospitality kicked off with a champagne reception, sponsored by PTG Treatments, and this year’s guest speaker, Sir Digby Jones, former head of the CBI, presided over the following luncheon and awards ceremony with great aplomb. The top prize of the day, the Timber Trader of the Year Award, went to Timbmet Silverman.
The trophies were once again commissioned by The American Hardwood Export Council.
All the luncheon guests received a scale model of a Combilift multi-directional forklift, generously donated by the Irish manufacturer.
