Joseph Thompson Timber has launched a long-term partnership with the SAFC Foundation, the registered charity of Sunderland Football Club.
The company’s initial sponsorship of £2,000 has been matched by £2,000 from the government scheme Sportsmatch and a number of fund-raising events will be held by JTT throughout the year. The funds will go towards the SAFC Kickstart project which delivers football-related educational programmes for young people across the city.
The initial sponsorship will help deliver coaching and health projects to over 300 young people in local schools and also set up inter-ward footballing activity for over 100 young people by working in partnership with youth organisations in the area.
