The board of the Finnish Forest Industries Federation has elected Jussi Pesonen, the president and chief executive officer of UPM-Kymmene Corp, as its chairman for 2006. Kari Jordan, the president and CEO of Metsäliitto Group, and Kai Korhonen, senior executive vice-president of Stora Enso Corp, were elected as deputy chairmen.
The executive committee comprises Matti Jaakola, managing director of Georgia-Pacific Nordic Oy; Kalle Kantola, managing director of Haapajärven Ha-Sa Oy; Jyri Nenonen, managing director of Kinnaskoski Oy; Sverre Norrgård, president and CEO of Myllykoski Oyj; and Sari Rämö, managing director of SCA Packaging Finland Oy.
