A Powermat 1000 moulder has been brought in by Taylor Made to replace its existing machinery, which has been installed alongside new technology in the facility’s tool room.

This includes the OptiControl tool measuring system and the Powermat 1000’s built-in PowerCom quick changeover system, both of which permit Taylor Made to get a better quality of finish on its products, according to machine shop foreman David Auton.

“We are delighted with the new moulder and its extensive capabilities,” said Mr Auton.

“The biggest benefit…would have to be the faster set-up times and quality of finish for actual mouldings.”

Taylor Made counts the London Stock Exchange, Barclays, Sony and Marks & Spencer among its customers, with the company also recently completing a £5.5m refurbishment project at the Royal Festival Hall.
