Taylor Lane Timber Frame has announced a large-scale investment in new operating software to enable it to better serve its customers.
The Hereford-based timber frame manufacturer is to install MiTek‘s WoodEngine software, with 20 licences for its machinery operators.
The investment equates to £100,000 over two years and will also allow more efficient data flow by allowing management reporting, sales and purchase order processing through one piece of software, according to Taylor Lane.
“This investment in new software positions Taylor Lane at the very front of the timber frame industry, enabling us to provide a better service for our clients and a better working environment for our staff,” said managing director Barrie Lane.
The computer-aided design package supports a range of timber construction types, including framed, traditional joinery and log home building.
