David Oldfield appointed BWF president
The British Woodworking Federation (BWF) has appointed David Oldfield, commercial director at the Arnold Laver Group, as its new president. He will succeed Paul Bailey, founder and managing director of European Doorsets, who is a long-standing member of the BWF executive board and has been BWF president since August 2019.
CTI relaunches APPG for the Timber Industries
The Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) is relaunching the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the Timber Industries with an inaugural general meeting on Monday July 5, from 15:00 to 16:00. It is asking members to let their MPs know by writing to them now if they feel they should be part of the APPG.

John Taylor has been appointed as president of the Timber Trades’ Benevolent Society (TTBS), taking over from Paul Snape, whose two-year tenure had come to an end.

After 12 years in the role, Lars Gunnar Andersen has resigned from his position as chairman of FEP – the European Federation of the Parquet Industry, at its General Assembly, which was held online on June 10. Lorenzo Onofri has been appointed as his successor.
