Associated British Ports Holdings plc continues to focus on core port operations with the sale of its US-based Amports’ aviation division for £32m.
Phase one of the sale has been completed for £29.8m. The remaining £2.2m will be received when two of the original 11 airport authority consents required for the sale are obtained in the next few months.
The sale of the aviation services business to subsidaries of Macquarie Global Infrastructure Funds brings the total proceeds from the group’s disposal of non-core assets to more than £250m since January 1, 2000
