The company signed an agreement with the government of Manitoba to build and operate an OSB and OSL mill at a site northeast of Winnipeg.
If conditions are met, a forest management licence will be issued, allowing Ainsworth to harvest 838,000m3 of timber annually to supply the facility.
The agreement is subject to successful consultation with affected First Nations communities.
