West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds has opted for an Altendorf sliding table panel saw to process its scene designs.
The Altendorf WA80TE, which replaces an existing sliding table panel saw, was ordered from Daltons to provide a substantial technical improvement, together with enhanced accuracy and ease of operation.
The WA80TE incorporates power movements to the saw unit, independently motorised scoring and 3,000mm sliding table.
Head of construction at the Playhouse, Ralph Tricker, said the workshop had to produce, often at short notice, scene designs for the various productions the Playhouse promotes.
“We now have the ultimate machine for the work we are asked to produce, which makes my job a lot easier,” he said.
Mr Tricker’s recent visit to an open house show at Daltons’ Nottingham showrooms was instrumental in the order being placed.
