The growing demand in Russia for urea-formaldehyde concentrate (UFC) to bond wood fibre materials has sparked a US$18m loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The bank said its six-year funding would enable manufacturer JSC Metafrax to build the UFC plants needed to meet the growing demands of the Russian wood-processing industry.
