The trading name of Boras Timber (UK) Ltd will change to Vida Wood UK Ltd on October 1.
The move follows Vida AB’s acquisition of Anderssons Sagverk at Borgstena, which included the sales company Boras Timber (UK) Ltd.
The management and staff of Vida Wood UK and Boras Timber (UK) will combine, with a main office in Billericay and a sales office in Ipswich. Richard Thick will be managing director and Ian Drane has been appointed to the board.
Vida AB is the largest independent sawmilling group in Sweden and the amalgamation will enable Vida Wood UK to provide a fast and efficient service and a more comprehensive product range through its terminals.
