Materials handling group Briggs Equipment UK, which recently completed its takeover of Yale UK, has formed a strategic partnership with Yale dealer Forkway.
Forkway became an authorised dealer for Yale Europe two years ago handling sales and service for the full range from its sites in Dewsbury, Doncaster, Amersham and Southampton.
“I am extremely pleased to announce the strategic partnership between Briggs and Forkway, who have such a strong reputation and have demonstrated real staying power throughout their 50 years in business,” said Briggs chief executive Richard Close.
He said that in addition to the Yale brand Forkway also brought a personal, local service from its regional service centres that ensures flexible, prompt and value-adding service.
“Forkway and Briggs recognise each other’s strengths, developed over many years, recognising and satisfying their customer’s specific needs. Now we want to move to the next level, offering an even better service at local levels in key local markets as well as nationally through a broad-based supply network,” said Mr Close.
Briggs became sole UK distributor for Yale Materials Handling in July as part of an agreement with Yale parent NACCO Materials Handling Group.
Briggs is part of the Sammons Enterprises equipment distribution division. Sister companies Briggs Equipment Mexico and Briggs Equipment US are already major distributors of Yale Materials Handling products.
