The Perth-based company’s top hung fully-reversible window passed a series of rigorous “burglary” tests by TRADA, enabling Broxwood to use the Secured by Design logo on the product.
Broxwood, which is now considering submitting other products for testing, chose to seek certification because of increasing demand from social housing and private sector customers for Secured by Design products.
“Research into this has shown that Secured by Design delivers a very significant level of improvement in security for customers, and clearly this is something we want to support,” said Broxwood director Ron MacKelvie.
Secured by Design is a police initiative supporting the principles of “designing out crime”. Certificated products carrying the scheme logo are designed to ensure the best possible protection for homes and businesses.
