A group of employees from BSW Timber’s Boat of Garten sawmill have completed their education to become trainers and assessors.
The 13 employees undertook the Level 3 National/Scottish Vocational Qualification suite in Learning & Development, enabling them to train and assess other members of staff at the sawmill.
“We have a responsibility to offer our employees the opportunity to improve their skills base,” said David Mills, mill manager at the Boat of Garten site.
“I am sure that those who took part benefited from the training and will provide the same assistance and support to others when required.”
The training required each employee to plan and carry out training and assessment of other staff at the mill, as well as demonstrate a good knowledge of training and assessment best practice.
