BSW Timber has expanded its overseas business by winning a French timber supply contract.

The new French deal builds on previous export deals in Belgium and the Netherlands.

“Whilst we will always concentrate on our core market in the UK, these orders prove that the quality of our UK fibre is respected and in demand on the Continent,” said BSW Timber export sales manager Simon Buttress.

He said the latest export success reinforced the company’s ambitions to grow the market for British timber.

BSW Timber is also in negotiations with Irish merchants over supply of its kiln-dried, strength-graded machined product Easi-Edge.

The group recently announced multi-million pound investments across its sites to improve site efficiencies, build production capacities and meet increasing demand for British timber.
