The sale is part of Canfor’s aim to focus on lumber, pulp and paper, said Canfor chief executive Don Kayne, and the company would continue to provide fibre.
LP chief executive Curt Stevens said the Peace Valley mill had been a safe and productive part of its OSB strategy and would continue to play an important role as the housing market rebounds.
The mill has an annual capacity of 76,000m2 of board, and management plans to add a fourth shift in the new year.
