Carpenters have come to the aid of
homeless charity Crisis to help provide a series of shelters across London this Christmas.
Weyerhaeuser also helped by donating 10 sheets of 18mm Medite Premier MDF for use in the project.
Joiners used MDF, CLS and plywood to fit out the six shelters, which are open between December 23-30 to provide warm, homely places for about 1,500 people.
Volunteer organisation Architecture for Humanity recruited about 30 architects, including one from leading practice Foster & Partners, to work on the project.
Buildings hosting the temporary shelters include offices, an old school building, a warehouse and concert venue the London Arena, which is due to be demolished.
