Fagus GreCon researcher receives Wilhelm-Klauditz Award
The Wilhelm-Klauditz Award has been presented to Dr Torben Marhenke, Fagus GreCon’s team lead research and development for research that led to the successful development of a new non-destructive test procedure for recognition of defects with a diameter starting at 1mm.

Collaboration in forestry sector creates opportunity
The government’s targets for tree planting are ambitious. The strategic importance of woodland and forest management, the use of the best quality planting stock and engaging young foresters in the sector are becoming ever more critical. Tree improvement charity Future Trees Trust, with funding from the Patsy Wood Trust, and in collaboration with the Royal Forestry Society (RFS), are delivering the Patsy Wood Scholarship to provide a key career stepping stone for new entrants into the forestry sector.
