Mr Buisseret, of Belgian nationality and a lawyer by education, joins CEI-Bois from the steel packaging organisation APEAL where he is managing director.
He has a long career in representing and managing industry associations in Brussels, both at national and European level in the services and beverage sector.
"With Mr Buisseret, CEI-Bois was able to hire the services of a professional lobbyist who will guarantee continuation of the work of the association and strengthen the position of wood products at European level," said CEI-Bois chairman Matti Mikkola.
Mr Buisseret will be introduced to CEI-Bois members at the next general assembly on December 5.
