The Danish Forest Certification Scheme is undergoing international scrutiny and an independent assessment prior to endorsement by the Pan European Forest Certification Council.

The scheme has undergone months of a multi-stakeholder consultation process and will now be looked at by consultants Jaakko Pöyry Consulting Oy.

Jan Sondergaard, chairman of the Danish scheme, said: “The assessment process allows all who have an interest in sustainable forest management and its certification in Denmark to comment on the scheme.”
