New Malden-based Champion Timber has launched a horseracing-themed staff incentive scheme to maintain high levels of product knowledge, customer service and branch appearance.
Each of the company’s outlets will be represented as a “jockey club” in the Champion Chase and will compete against each other over the next 12 months.
Staff can win £20 each month if they achieve year-on-year sales increases and can win points towards a grand prize by performing well in different categories, including branch and team appearance; signage and sales information; systems; and sales.
Performance is measured monthly, with every 15 points awarded progressing the “horse” a quarter furlong. Staff at the winning branch each receive a £100 bonus and two tickets to the races, while 15 £10 vouchers are also given to employees who make “top tips” to improve branch performance.
