Chandos Timber Engineering, one of the UK’s larger timber frame manufacturers, has gone into administration with the loss of 170 jobs.
The Manchester-based company, founded in 2000, was believed to have been hit by the downfall of Rok, as well as the general difficult conditions in the construction industry.
Administrators at Cowgill Holloway have reported several expressions of interests in the company’s assets.
