Germany-based timber construction software firm Dietrich’s Technology AG has been acquired by Elvaston Capital Management GmbH.

The company, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, said the original founders the Emmer family and other shareholders from the management and employees have decided to sell the shares completely.

The move, says the company, ensures the strategic and future-oriented further development of the business.

“We can promise our customers in the international timber construction sector that their investments will remain sustainable and secure in the long term,” said Uwe Emmer, who with Josef Dietrich founded the company in 1982.

The management team under the leadership of Johann Baptist Lindner as CEO and shareholder remains unchanged:

Elvaston, based in Berlin, currently has around 60 portfolio companies with technology as the common denominator in focus.

"With the acquisition of Dietrich's Technology AG, we are opening up the timber construction market with the help of CAD/CAM technology,” said Dr Thomas Keul, partner and managing director of Elvaston.

“What is happening here fascinates us. Dietrich's decades of expertise, the huge customer base and, at the same time, the opportunities to make a contribution to climate change and sustainable construction with the digital tools for timber construction - this package convinced us!"
